How to become certified?
Applicants will identify their present eco practices within the Global Eco Traveling Certification Application. The criteria used within the application is diverse and comprehensive enough to allow all travel related businesses, organizations and events connected to the travel industry and who have eco minded practices in place to become certified.
Once your application is reviewed and the Global Eco Traveling Certification criteria is met, you will receive notification of your certification approval. A one-time certification fee along with a monthly maintenance fee will place you on a global scale of places of interest for the environmentally conscientious traveler. Newly certified members will receive the Global Eco Traveling Certification Welcome Marketing packet which will provide you with tools to begin successful marketing of your eco practices.
We also encourage you and your organization to go above and beyond the minimum required point total by being creative with innovative best practices, continuously improving your environmental performance, and sharing your achievements with colleagues and visitors.
